Opening Ceremonies For WFC World Series A Class in Myrtle Beach, SC on Monday August 3rd,2009. A team representative must check in at the Pepper Geddings Complex at 3201 Oak Street Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 between the hours of 9 to 11am on Monday August 3rd. Coaches will need to fill out a survey card at this time.

Coaches please remember that failure to turn in a signed WFC roster can lead to disqualification.

The social gathering will be at Pepper Geddings Complex from 12-2PM on Monday August 3rd. Teams will be announced during the fellowship gathering. Teams will line-up along Field C at Pepper-Geddings starting with 10u teams thru 18u teams. It is a MUST for teams to confirm attendance and be on site no later than 11:40am.

Special NoteConstruction of a New complex in Myrtle Beach,SC creates a lossing of two fields for the 2009 WFC World Series. For this reason check in, open ceremonies, and the starting of pool games has changed this year. Pool play will start Monday afternoon.

To ensure that all Opening Ceremonies operate smoothly WFC must know if your team will be participating in any of the following Ceremony Events.
Parade of Teams and Team trading pin exchange
Players and parents will be separated at the field gate to allow for proper team line-up. Each team and player will be formerly announced as they parade around the field.
Fastest Runner Contest Ages 8U -18U
Egg Toss Contest Ages 8U- 18U
Home run Contest Ages 12U- 18U




WFC must know if your team plans to participate in the gift exchange so that we may schedule participating teams for exchange. We do not want any team to feel pressure about participating or not in this exchange. This exchange is designed for participating teams to give a small gift bag item or items to represent the area from which their team is from. After check in we will find out which teams will be participating in the team gift exchange. This will ensure that participating teams will be matched up.

Please do not exchange until WE match you up. Might be a pool game or a bracket game.


Teams do not have to participate in all or any of these events. These events are strictly for the entertainment of the players.

We would like to remind all teams that you may preorder your WFC World Series T-shirts to ensure that you get the sizes that you want. The price is $15.00 each and may be ordered in sizes Youth Medium through Adult XXXL. All preorders may be picked up at opening ceremonies and paid for at that time. We will have t-shirts available at the tournament on a first come first serve basis.

Teams are allowed ONE team coolers but no grills. WFC does require that all parents, fans, coaches and players are on their best behavior while attending WFC World Series Events. WFC will not tolerate any unpartisan like behavior. Anyone who shows that they cannot behave in a proper manner will be asked to leave the complex immediately. Coaches please understand that sometimes there are calls that they do not agree with all the time. But, it is the coaches responsibility to his team to keep his cool and show good sportsmanship. Teams please clean up dugouts after You use them.

WFC will not be providing water coolers in the dugouts this year. In the past we have found that people will put their hands in the water, take out the ice or simply remove the coolers. This year at check in each team’s representative will receive 1 case of bottled water.

In case of inclement weather all coaches must come to the fields to check in with WFC staff for any updated to the game schedule. Please do not call or go to the website for any updates because the WFC staff will be at the complexes with schedule updates.

8u Opening Ceremonies will be Wed Aug 5th at 6:30pm
Teams will be announced during fellowship gathering. Teams will line-up along F-B at Pepper-Gedding Complex.
It is a MUST for teams to confirm attends and be there no later than 6:00pm .Egg Toss Contest,Fastest Runners, ,Trading Pins.
Pool play starts Aug 6th Thurs at 8:00am
with Championship Aug 9th Sat night at 6:30pm. Sunday Aug 10th is a rain day.
